The Member & Chapter Services Department (MCSD) Coordinator provides critical support to the ASLA team and helps ASLA programs run smoothly for our valued members. In fulfilling these responsibilities, the Coordinator will be interacting daily with the Association Management System (AMS) and technology systems, as well as engaging directly with members, volunteers, and other team members.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a membership point of contact for member and subscriber questions and requests.
- Assists in the timely production of member and Landscape Architecture Magazine (LAM) renewal notices via paper, email and text.
- Researches inquiries, resolves problems, and provides information on ASLA membership, renewals, and subscriptions.
- Collates and formats the new member and member milestones data for acknowledgement in member newsletter (LAND).
- Maintains volunteer leader information in AMS and enters annual updates.
- Processes paper membership applications, renewals, subscriptions, and product orders according to ASLA database standards.
- Support maintaining data consistency in AMS.
- Acts as the MCSD Basecamp groups administrator.
- Assists in coordinating chapter leadership visits by providing the Executive Office with required chapter data.
- Staff the registration area during the ASLA annual conference; including managing the member recognition ribbons.
- Provides timely and high-quality service to members, potential members, and other customers via email, phone, mail, and text.
- Maintains confidential and sensitive information.
- Provides additional support for ASLA membership team members with data entry and administrative tasks as needed.
- Educates members/prospects on the benefits and value of being an ASLA member.
- Upholds the values & culture of ASLA.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3 years Administrative experience, preferably within a nonprofit or association.
- Associates or BA/BS degree preferred.
- Strong skills using Excel to manage data and information in spreadsheets.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent customer service, data entry, and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable with databases, data entry, and reporting.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a workflow that involves interruptions and multiple projects at the same time.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work in a team setting.
- Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office, MailChimp, and Survey Monkey.
- Experience with Impexium a plus.

Compensation: $55,000.00 per year
